The 2014 Vosne Romanée 1er Cru Aux Brûlées is packed full of dark red berry fruit on the nose, just a hint of bay leaf and Earl Grey tea in the background. It is very precise. The palate is fresh and crisp, founded upon edgy tannin, very tensile and brooding especially on the finish that clams up a little, finished in tight-lipped and taciturn fashion.
