The 2014 Bonnes Mares Grand Cru was showing a little reduction on the nose that made it difficult to read. The palate is medium-bodied with light grainy tannin. The fruit seems rather faint on the mid-palate, leaving the tannins feeling a little harsh and abrasive towards the finish. Hopefully this will flesh out by the time of bottling, but it does not exhibit the same presence and substance as say Mugnier's Amoureuses or Musigny. I was just looking for more...Bonnes Mares.
