In honour of America’s Independence Day – and the increasing number of US wines trading on the secondary market – Liv-ex has taken a look at the top traded US wines on its platform so far in 2018.
As the table demonstrates, all the top-trading wines come from California, with Dominus 2014 taking the top spot. Opus One 2014 follows closely behind.
Several vintages from Screaming Eagle Winery appear in the top 10, including the 2015 which was recently awarded 100 points by The Wine Advocate’s Lisa Perotti-Brown. Screaming Eagle is also the highest-ranking US label in the 2017 Power 100, taking 23rd place in 2017, up from 69th the previous year.
