The 2015 Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru, derived from young vines in the Musigny, offers up a lovely bouquet of black cherry, summer fruits, caramelized citrus peel and subtle espresso roast. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, supple and fragrant, with sappy acids, good concentration and a chalky chassis of tannin. Like the Chambolle Villages, this was rather dramatic in barrel but it's now beginning to shut down.
