This particular year for Domaine Fourrier saw a gathering of precision and poise in their viticultural practices, ensuring that every cluster from their coveted Clos St Jacques vineyard reached its potential.

The Embodiment of Gevrey Chambertin Elegance

The 2018 Gevrey Chambertin Clos St Jacques articulates its terroir with eloquency—the very essence of refinement. It unfurls slowly on the palate with notes of ripe cherries and blackcurrants interwoven with an earthy minerality and a touch of sweet spices owing to judicious oak integration. Perfumed and sumptuous, Fourrier's 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Clos Saint-Jacques has turned out very well, wafting from the glass with aromas of plums and raspberries, complemented by notions of violets, peonies and blood orange. Medium to full-bodied, deep and multidimensional, it's suave and seamless, with succulent acids, velvety tannins and a rose-inflected finish.
