The Symphonic Structure of Sophistication

A poised nose gives hint to cherry blossom melding with whispers of clove and an undercurrent of fine, forest floor earthiness—engaging the senses with a prelude to its complexity. On the palate, this Musigny unravels its tapestry, woven with delicate tannins; it embraces the stately fruit core of ripe cherries and red currants. The oak is understated yet supportive, adding a layer that enchants rather than overpowers. A lingering finish is punctuated by vivacious acidity, heralding the wine's potential for considerable cellaring, a significant aspect for keen fine wine investors.

Investment-wise, the astuteness lies within this Musigny’s balletic balance between potency and finesse. It delineates a vintage defined not by opulence but by nuance and precision—characteristics that denote promising maturation prospects.

In sum, the 2017 Musigny from Maison Joseph Drouhin stands as one of Burgundy's emblematic outputs—an investment-worthy marvel awaiting the patient collector. The 2017 Musigny Grand Cru unfurls in the glass with captivating aromas of dried flowers, rose petal, violets and raspberries that mingle with deeper bass notes of espresso roast and raw cocoa. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, satiny and extremely elegant, with terrific depth, concentration and amplitude, framed by rich but powdery tannins and concluding with a beautifully fragrant finish. Unsurprisingly, this is likely the red wine of the vintage chez Drouhin.
